SmartBOX self-supporting blind

It is suitable for flush-mounted installation in new buildings, as well as for retrofitting existing buildings, similar to external roller shutters. The SmartBOX version is available as standard.

ThermoBOXes are specially prepared configurations of the SmartBOX system for flush-mounted installation with additional cassette insulation on the inside – on the wall side of the building.

Self-supporting blinds are an innovative solution that combines simplicity of installation with high functionality. Thanks to their design, they require no additional brackets or fixings, making them the ideal choice for both modern buildings and renovations. They offer effective protection from the sun and provide full control over the amount of light, while enhancing the aesthetics of the facade.

Design variants for self-supporting blinds

There are three configurations to choose from with 20 mm and 30 mm thick Styrodur insulation and 10 mm thick Alutherm Quattro.
Depending on the configuration chosen, we automatically receive matching plaster carriers to the thickness of the insulation and appropriately selected guide extension profiles.

Mounting variants for external blinds

Self-supporting blinds for wall mounting

This is a practical solution, especially in situations where the window recesses are not deep enough or where a specific visual effect is desired. The process requires slightly different steps than recess installation, but is still easy to carry out, even for less experienced users.

Self-supporting wall-mounted blinds cover the entire window surface, including the frame, minimising light penetration through gaps. This is ideal for bedrooms or rooms where full shading is important.

External wall-mounted blinds can be installed at any time, even after construction or renovation work has been completed. There is no need to plan their installation in advance when designing the building.

Self-supporting shutters for lintel mounting

Self-supporting blinds can be mounted directly on the lintel, which simplifies the installation process. This solution guarantees a solid and durable fixing of the blind.
The upper profile of the self-supporting shutters, together with a set of lamellas, is mounted in a covering cassette. In the flush-mounted version, the cassette is completely hidden under the building facade and invisible when the blinds are fully raised. This type of installation is dedicated to newly constructed buildings, as concealed external shutters can already be installed during the building construction phase.

Self-supporting shutters for lintel mounting

Self-supporting blinds can be easily fitted into the window recess, providing an elegant finish and stable fixing. This practical solution allows the blinds to fit precisely into the recess, minimising the visibility of the mounting components.

External blinds are more difficult to penetrate as they are less accessible from the outside. In addition, the recess protects the guides from easy removal.

Automatic blinds installed closer to the window create an additional insulation layer, which increases thermal and acoustic efficiency. As a result, they better protect against heat loss in winter and external noise.

They are better protected from wind, rain and snow because the recess creates a natural shield. This can prolong their life.
